Data Protection Provisions on D-Link Home Gateway (HG) Sensing Capabilities
The device has been assessed in accordance with applicable transparency and user information requirements regarding external sensing functionalities.
We hereby declare that the router does not possess any external sensing capabilities. Specifically, the device does not include, enable, or support any form of:
-Optical sensing (e.g., cameras or visual recording components) -Acoustic sensing (e.g., microphones or audio recording components) -Biometric sensing (e.g., fingerprint, facial recognition, or other biometric data collection) -Location-based sensing (e.g., GPS or other geolocation tracking technologies)
Furthermore, the device does not contain any disabled or dormant external sensing components (such as microphones or Bluetooth-based sensing features) that could be activated at a later stage.
As such, no external sensing data is collected, processed, stored, or transmitted by this device.
This declaration is made to ensure full transparency and to provide assurance to users regarding the privacy and operational scope of the device.
We hereby declare that HG collects the following device-related information: -Device name (host name) -MAC address -Connection status (online/offline) -Connection time This information is used solely for managing and displaying device connectivity and network status within the local network. The router includes a log function to record this information, which is disabled by default and can be enabled by the user if desired. No data is transmitted to external servers or shared with third parties. All collected data is processed locally and is protected from unauthorized access. No additional personal data is collected, and the data is not used for analytics, advertising, or any purposes beyond core device functionality.
The HG only collects device name, MAC address, connection status, and connection time to manage local network connectivity. No personal data is transmitted externally or used beyond core functionality.
