# DIR-868L – How to login to router and change Admin Password(V1.07SHC\&above)?

**Note**: Please ensure that you have the router wireless password which is on the sticker label\
at the base of the device.

Open an Internet browser (such as Internet Explorer or FireFox) and enter\
<http://192.168.0.1> into the address bar.

The default username is Admin and the password is the same as the router wireless\
password entered. Click **Login**.

Click the Tools tab at the top of the page and then click Admin from the menu on the\
left-hand side.

To change the Administrator password, enter a new password in the **Password** field.\
Verify the password again in the **Verify Password** field.

### Click Save Settings to save the current configuration.&#x20;

<mark style="color:$danger;">Note : For user upgrading from firmware 1.03 to firmware 1.07, the router will automatically do a</mark>\ <mark style="color:$danger;">factory reset after successful upgrade</mark>

\ <mark style="color:$danger;">Take note that all configuration will be lost after the factory reset.</mark>
