# How to setup Easymesh mode for  D-Link DIR-1253/DIR-835M

1. Connect your PC to the DIR-1253/DIR-835M router using an ethernet cable.
2. Access the router’s web interface by entering its IP address into a web browser on the address bar <http://192.168.0.1> then press enter.

3. The page will be prompted to enter a username and password. The default username and the default password are:

   **Username**: Admin

   **Password**: (as printed on the device label bottom of the router)

   <mark style="color:$primary;">Note: If you have changed the password and cannot remember it, you will need to reset the router to factory defaults.</mark>&#x20;
4. Once logged in, Click **Network** at the top of the page, and then select **Easymesh > Function Configuration**
5. Tap on **View graphic guide** to start the easymesh setup wizard

6\. There are 2 ways of setting up easymesh ( wirelessly or wired )

Option 1: Setup Easy mesh Wirelessly (by pressing WPS button at the back of the router)

&#x20;*7.* Follow the step by step guide from the router page. Once you completed the setup, please wait for awhile for routers to synchronize and form the easymesh. Once it done, you are successfully setup your easymesh network.

Option 2: Wired easymesh setup (using the ethernet cable).

1. Follow the step by step guide from the router page. Once you completed the setup, please wait for awhile for routers to synchronize and form the easymesh. Once it done, you are successfully setup your easymesh network.
