# How to setup AP mode for D-Link DIR-1253/DIR-835M

1. Connect your PC to the DIR-1253/DIR-835M router using an ethernet cable.
2. Access the router’s web interface by entering its IP address into a web browser on the address bar <http://192.168.0.1> then press enter.

3. The page will be prompted to enter a username and password. The default username and the default password are:

   **Username**: Admin

   **Password**: (as printed on the device label bottom of the router)

   <mark style="color:$primary;">Note: If you have changed the password and cannot remember it, you will need to reset the router to factory defaults.</mark>
4. Once logged in, Click **home** at the top of the page, and then select **Internet setting.**

5. Select **Bridge mode** and click on **OK**

6. Allow 1 minute for router to restart, once done, you are succefully setup DIR-1253/ DIR-835M in AP ( Access point ) Mode
