# Why can’t I set up Wireless Mesh using the Mesh button on the DPN-BE7200GR?

{% hint style="info" %} <mark style="color:$danger;">Note: In compliance with Singapore cybersecurity regulations, the WPS function is disabled by default to enhance network security. Since the Mesh button relies on WPS, it will not work unless WPS is enabled.</mark>

<mark style="color:$danger;">To proceed with Wireless Mesh setup, you must first enable WPS via the router’s web GUI.</mark>

(e.g., if you have two DPN-BE7200GR units, apply the steps below on both devices).

### **Steps to enable WPS**

Log in to the router via a web browser at 192.168.0.1&#x20;

* Password: Refer to the label at the bottom of the router (if unchanged)

Navigate to the WPS settings page. Click on “Basic” -> “WLAN” -> “5G SSID”

“Check/Tick” the box to enable WPS

Repeat the above steps for all mesh routers.&#x20;

Once WPS enabled, press the “Mesh” Button on the Main Router for more than 5 seconds. After that, press “Mesh” Button on Agent Router for more than 5 seconds.

Wait for the “Net” indicator light turn to green on the Agent router. Then, the router have successful setup as wireless mesh.&#x20;
