How to Connect DCS-8526LH to a Wi-Fi Network Using mydlink App

Feature Description

If you need to change your camera’s Wi-Fi connection—whether because you have changed your internet provider, bought a new router, or updated your Wi-Fi name or password causing the camera to go offline—you can follow these steps to switch the camera's Wi-Fi connection. However, note that this feature only works for specific models. For DCS-6XXXLH models, you will need to reset the camera to reconnect it to a new Wi-Fi network.

Important Notes:

  • Ensure your phone or tablet has mobile data turned off and is connected to your new Wi-Fi network, which should be functioning properly.

  • Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on the phone or tablet you're using.

1

Enable Bluetooth on your phone

2

Log in to Mydlink app, then tap the three horizontal lines (menu) in the top-left corner and select Device Settings.

3

Choose the camera you want to configure, then tap Wi-Fi

4

A pop-up window will appear asking if you want to reconnect to Wi-Fi. Tap Yes, and the app will display "Connecting...” wait a moment for it to load.

5

From the list, select the Wi-Fi network you want the camera to connect to. Enter the Wi-Fi password and tap Confirm to proceed. (If you don’t see your Wi-Fi in the list, tap the Refresh button in the top-right corner to refresh the list, or try moving the camera closer to the Wi-Fi source.)

6

The app will show “Connecting... Please wait.” Once the connection is successful, tap OK. and the camera's LED light will turn green

7

You should now see the new Wi-Fi name under Device Settings. On the home screen, tap View on the camera to start streaming the live feed.
