{% stepper %}
{% step %}
Visit the D-Link support page at <https://www.dlink.com/en/change-region>, select your\
country, find your device model, and download the latest firmware

{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Connect your PC to the DWR-X2000 either via Wi-Fi or Ethernet cable

*Note: To avoid disruption during the firmware upgrade, it is advised that you use a wired*\
*connection*
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Once connected, open a web browser and type in the URL bar <https://192.168.0.1>

{% endstep %}

{% step %}
To access the router's settings, enter the username and password. If you’ve previously\
changed the password, use the updated one. Otherwise, use the default username\
\&#xNAN;**"admin"** and the default password located on the label at the back of the router.

{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Navigate to Update Tab, click on Local Update and click on Select File.

{% endstep %}

{% step %}

{% endstep %}

{% step %}
Highlight the file by clicking it once then click Open. Then, click "Update" to initiate the\
firmware update process.

{% endstep %}

{% step %}
The router will start upgrading its firmware. Do not turn off or disconnect the router during\
the upgrade process, as this could cause issues.

automatically.
