How to upload an eSIM to the DWR-U2100 5G Mobile Hotspot

Upload and activate an eSIM on the D-Link DWR-U2100 5G Mobile Hotspot using the D-Link Mobile Connect app and a QR code from your mobile carrier. Use this guide to upload and activate an eSIM on the D-Link DWR-U2100 5G Mobile Hotspot.

You need an active eSIM plan, a QR code from your carrier, and the D-Link Mobile Connect App.

Before you start

Purchase an eSIM data roaming package from your mobile operator or service provider.

Make sure the eSIM package includes a QR code for activation.

Download and install the D-Link Mobile Connect App on iOS or Android.

Connect to your DWR-U2100

Turn on Wi-Fi and mobile data on your phone. Make sure your phone has internet access.

Power on the DWR-U2100 and enable Wi-Fi.

  • Default SSID: DLink2G_xxxx or DLink5G_xxxx

Connect your phone to the DWR-U2100 Wi-Fi network.

Open the D-Link Mobile Connect App and sign in as Admin.

  • Login details are printed on the DWR-U2100 product label.

Upload the eSIM profile with a QR code

In the app, select [eSIM Plan Activation].

Choose an empty slot in the eSIM plan list.

In [eSIM Card Information], tap the QR code icon in the lower-right corner.

Scan the QR code provided with your eSIM package.

Confirm eSIM activation

After upload, the eSIM profile appears under [eSIM Card Information].

Edit the [Card Name] so you can identify the eSIM profile easily.

Troubleshooting

If the eSIM upload fails, confirm your phone has internet access and scan the QR code again.

Also make sure you selected an available eSIM slot.

Ready to Use

Your DWR-U2100 is now ready for eSIM data roaming and mobile hotspot sharing.
